Hackers hold City Hostage for $100,000 in Ransom Payments
The New York Times report that in May of 2019 The City of Baltimore Maryland, USA Computer Systems were locked up and brought down by a Cyber attack by Hackers using a tool stolen from and developed by the NSA. Listen to the story, click the video below:

The Report relates that the Hacking Tool called “EternalBlue” was transferred to an offshore Russian Agency which became the target of the investigation.
The cost of being a Victim is difficult to calculate in lost Revenue. But let me be clear, this is not the end nor a one time experience. It will happen again and again. Imagine being locked out of email for three weeks to a month. Would your business Survive?
So what measures are available to counter this attack?
In my opinion
#1. It has to be an onshore solution.
#2. It has to be proven to be current and do the job.
